At the heart of the STILE Project lies a profound act of love and empowerment. As a Schweitzer fellow, the project’s founder recognizes the transformative potential of showing up for Black girls beyond the confines of traditional roles. The STILE-isms page captures this essence, offering affirmations that reinforce the purity, strength, and potential within each Black girl. This love in action serves as a catalyst for dismantling damaging labels and nurturing a sense of self-worth.
STILE’s curriculum goes beyond teaching; it mentors and guides Black girls toward embracing their identities with pride. By providing a safe space for self-expression and reflection, STILE invites girls to reimagine their place in the world. The STILE-ology methodology, rooted in Black feminist and womanist principles, places the agency back into the hands of Black girls themselves. In a world where systemic pressures persist, the STILE Project stands as a beacon of love, resilience, and belief in the boundless possibilities of Black girlhood.
